LVF & COREtec

LVF- stands for Luxury Vinyl Flooring. It can come in planks (LVP) to look like hardwood or with grout to mimic stone and tiles (LVT). COREtec is the originator of the technology for these amazingly beautiful & durable floors.

LVF is meant for residential use, not commercial. It’s not (currently) rated for Radiant Heat. They are meant to be floating planks or tiles, not GLUED down. It doesn’t warp like wood, scratch, or buckle,  especially in areas with high humidity in crawl spaces.

Why COREtec?

  1. It’s waterproof - mold and mildew resistant, great to use in areas with high humidity, crawl spaces & areas near the water.

  2. Kid/Petproof - it can have a lot of wear and tear while resisting chips and dents.

  3. Embossed register, the feel is more realistic (more than other brands)

  4. CoreTec leads the industry with technology and all others follow; it’s the original holder of the patented design.

  5. Has great price points - great for builders and those on a budget, designers and those who are looking for the high end look.

COREtec LVP has 4 layers:

  1. Wear Layer (a top acrylic coat)

  2. Visual Layer (Pattern/Color/Style)

  3. Core Layer (SPC/WPC/MGO)

  4. Cork (varying thicknesses)

COREtec has 3 plank widths:

  1. 5”

  2. 7”

  3. 7” enhanced (beveled edge to give a feel of more realism)

COREtec offers 3 types of Cores:
